Nova Twins have been rocking up and down the country for the past few months, perfecting their incredible rock and roll show. Last time they played a headline show in Birmingham was at the Sunflower Lounge, now here they are less than two years later with a sold out O2 Academy at their beck and call.

The band were supported by an act who are primed to enter the big leagues themselves. Witch Fever brought the fire, with lead singer Amy Walpole jumping into the crowd within the first few songs.

Nova Twins burst onto the stage with “Fire and Ice”. The noise the two-piece (plus a drummer) made was immense. When “Toolbox” hit with its adrenaline rush of a chorus, it almost required the first ten rows to take up hearing aids after the show.
Not only can Amy and Georgia play the hell out of their instruments, but also know exactly how to put on a rock and roll show. The stage was their playground to jump, shred and get the mosh pit started.

An intense encore finished by a roaring version of “Choose Your Fighter” brought the gig to a close. The band have mastered their show over the past few years, this is a proper rock and roll show worthy of arenas, and I don’t think it will take long for them to get there.
