A completely sold-out tour without even a debut record out is and incredible feat. But tonight, whilst visiting Birmingham Olivia Dean showed the crowd why she’s earned this right and how she is a future pop star in the making.

The rammed institute 2nd room was dripping in anticipation for Olivia to take to the stage. Under heavy incense and no lights Olivia opened with “UFO”, the audience’s phone lights being the only source of light.
A burst of technicolor from the lighting hit in her second song “Echo”, her heartfelt lyrics on full display throughout. Sometimes less is more, and only having 4 EP’s and a few singles meant that the loyal fanbase knew almost every word to every song.

Olivia kept a smile on her face throughout the entire set, looking like she couldn’t believe she was playing to a sold-out crowd. It just goes to show that you don’t require an album to be star.
