It was a terrible day to be a can of red stripe as Circa Waves kicked off the year with a Friday night of indie goodness. Bringing Peace and the Corellas to a put on an electrifying show at the O2 Academy in Birmingham.

With a lineup that would catch eyes on a festival line up, the Corellas opened with an punchy set that would be a standout on any festival day.

The return of B-town pioneers Peace was one of the big draws of the night. They didn’t disappoint. Playing a short but sweet set covering all the classic tunes, and a new one chucked in for good luck.

Last but not least, Circa Waves brought their energetic, feel-good vibe with anthems like “T-Shirt Weather” and “Times Won’t Wait” to the O2 Academy. Engaging the crowd with their signature punchy riffs and catchy melodies.
